These online sessions will be more like an in-person class than a webinar. We’ll share experiences, discuss challenges, and do small group activities within the online learning platform. You’ll also be given time to complete the templates to apply the material to your own situation, and then share your templates with the class. This is not a listen-while-I-check-my-email online class. It’s a participate-and-get-things-done online class. While sessions will be recorded, to maximize the value of the course, it is important for you to attend live.
To access the online platform, you’ll need either Google Chrome or Firebox browsers. You’ll also need Microsoft PowerPoint to complete and share the templates. Join with a camera and microphone for maximum participation.
The methodology taught in this course was developed for people working within organizations who are responsible for implementing change without having much authority. A sound change methodology and a toolkit full of practical templates give you a solid foundation as a change practitioner. Yet, designing change alone will not achieve results. Your ability to implement change relies on effectively using your influence. In this Fundamentals workshop, we take traditional change management one step further by building your influence skills throughout the methodology. After attending all the sessions, you’ll leave not only with a set of tools that will help you design your change initiative, but with practical steps you can personally take to influence change at work.
